Something Isn't Working — General Troubleshooting
Six steps that solve most technical issues
Before you contact support, try these steps — they solve the majority of technical issues quickly.
Step 1: Refresh the page
Sounds obvious, but it works more often than you'd think. A simple browser refresh (Cmd+R on Mac, Ctrl+R on Windows) clears most temporary display issues.
Step 2: Clear your browser cache
A stale cache can cause features to behave unexpectedly.
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files
- Safari: Develop → Empty Caches (enable Develop menu in Safari → Settings → Advanced)
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear Data → Cached Web Content
Step 3: Try a different browser
If the issue persists in one browser, try another. Crewie works best in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. If it works in another browser, the issue is likely a browser-specific setting or extension.
Step 4: Disable browser extensions
Ad blockers and privacy extensions can sometimes interfere with Crewie. Try disabling them temporarily to see if that resolves the issue.
Step 5: Check your internet connection
A slow or unstable connection can cause features to load partially or not at all. Try on a different network if possible.
Step 6: Log out and log back in
Go to your avatar → Sign Out → sign back in. This refreshes your session and resolves most authentication-related issues.
